Digital Learning Specialist
Joining our Digital Business Team at Ravago as our Digital Learning Specialist, you’ll help to take our technical content catalogue to the next level. From writing engaging content to crafting visual and digital resources, your content will make a difference to the learner’s journey – be it one of our colleagues or even one of our top customers.
We have an increased demand for high quality & interactive technical content for our Polymer Distribution companies and their customer-facing digital projects. As we want to move faster and produce more specific content regularly, we think it is time to grow!
This exciting role is suitable for a professional with experience of creating and delivering engaging digital learning resources and educational content. The role requires the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including Technical Experts, People & Culture Managers and diverse business partners from the Polymer industry.
We look forward to welcoming a full-time member to the team, in a hybrid or remote setting, ideally from a location in ECE, where Ravago has a local office.
Main responsibilities
• Design and develop engaging learning content and materials on technical topics, incorporating e-learning, video, graphics, and animation to captivate our diverse audience. Rest assured – you don’t need to know what Molecular Weight Distribution is, but you’ll gather input from our Technical experts and work its explanation into an effective training, ensuring that the content is presented in a clear and memorable way, with meaningful & purposeful interaction.
• Rethink and adapt existing static (pdf/ppt) materials
• Publish & curate the learning content on our platforms (LMS, websites)
• Apply learning design principles, adult learning theory and learning sciences evidence to ensure a high pedagogical quality to our learning content
• Learn & master the authoring platforms used to constantly create and publish interactive content (Elucidat, CrossKnowledge)
• Streamline technical content production for a global business impact
• Manage new additions and updates to the Polymer part of the digital learning catalogue.
• Maintain the Polymer related e-learning library of content.
• Work closely with internal People & Culture and IT teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Manage own workload in the context of project plan timeframes and deadlines, maintain accurate project progress documentation and keep stakeholders up to speed.
What we keep our eyes peeled for:
- Creative pedagogical thinking: we’re looking for substantial understanding and application of instructional design, e-learning and distance learning pedagogy and principles in adult learning. The ability to select relevant information and present complex ideas clearly and creatively in a logical, coherent way is gold in our industry.
- Exceptional execution and attention to detail: Possessing a meticulous eye for detail and the ability to work methodically, remaining focused, flexible, and proactive in executing tasks. We don’t want to release content with a wild typo on the 10th row of page 3, for example.
- Outstanding organisational abilities: Proficient in multitasking and promptly responding to stakeholder requests. As much as we’d like it, we won’t have a linear progression on our content timeline, and chances are that we’ll get to a
3rd review of a particular module and a fast sign-off on another, so a creatively
focused professional with proven experience of coordinating projects and managing multiple workstreams via digital environments is not only a wish but a business need. - Autonomy and initiative: Capable of working autonomously, taking ownership of tasks and proactively managing the content timeline. We want to keep on top of everything without chasing team members to deliver, so we offer a great degree of freedom for self- development provided that deadlines are met.
- Tech savvy: You’ll have a proficient level of English, strong background in L&D and you are competent in eLearning tools such as Articulate Storyline 360, Elucidat, Camtasia or Adobe suite. Experience in Photoshop is beneficial to the role, but not mandatory – we’ve even got this far with Paint & Canva… Previous experience in working with other interactive tools is a bonus – it means you’ll pick ours up faster.
Our offer
