Position details

Reports to: Plant Manager

Purpose of the Role: Involved in the creation and materialization of the Quality Control & Product Development plan

Opportunity

  • Perform, and assist colleagues to perform, qualitative and quantitative analysis of various materials associated with the company’s operations. This will include material sampling, QC analysis, method development
  • Plan and implement the QC program of the plant in accordance with plant’s QMS (quality management system)
  • Develop methods according to standards or in house standards
  • Development of new products
  • Assist in the investigation and implementation of innovative methods to improve the quality and cost of the product
  • Evaluate and communicate the results of non-conformities
  • Ensure all procedures relevant to the laboratory are read, understood, and updated

Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, or equivalent degree
  • Minimum 1 years’ proven experience in an industrial environment as quality control
  • Excellent knowledge in Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge (academic or practical) in construction - waterproofing material is considered as a strong asset
