Position details

Reports to: Business Director Styrenics

Position Role: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a major marine-works project, construction of 2 chemical storage tanks and the infrastructure of the site at the Agios Nikolaos / Thorikos area. The role includes full lifecycle management, from construction, oversight to environmental compliance and coordination with authorities and engineering partners.

Opportunity

  • Manage execution of marine works (jetty / trestle, unloading platform, dolphins, pipelines, dredging)
  • Coordinate engineering partners, contractors, and marine specialists
  • Ensure compliance with environmental approval
  • Oversee safety, permits, schedules, budgets, and reports
  • Liaise with authorities, port services, engineers, and internal stakeholders
  • Manage commissioning, testing, and project handover

Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Coastal / Marine / Mechanical Engineering
  • 8+ years in marine or port construction projects
  • Experience in jetty construction, piling, dredging, or marine works
  • Knowledge of Greek permitting, Natura 2000, and HSE standards (including Seveso, ATEX)
  • Fluent in Greek and English, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work on-site in Lavrio for, at least, 3 years
