PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Trade & Compliance Specialist/Expert within Ravago Group plays a key role in ensuring that regulatory and compliance requirements are effectively implemented across the organization. Acting as a bridge between regulatory expertise and business operations, this role supports managing increasing regulatory complexity and ensures compliance as a critical condition for market access and business continuity.

The position acts as an operational backbone of the Trade & Compliance function, supporting Domain Owners and enabling consistent, process-driven execution of compliance frameworks across the organization. It operates within a hybrid model combining centralized governance with cross-functional execution, ensuring alignment between strategic regulatory oversight and day-to-day operational delivery.

The role operates across EU and UK markets, ensuring alignment with applicable regional regulations, sanctions frameworks and trade compliance standards, while contributing to a structured, scalable and risk-based approach to compliance across the business.

OPPORTUNITIES

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

1. Coordinate the implementation of trade and compliance frameworks (e.g. REACH, CBAM, EUDR, Waste Shipments) across the organization.

2. Work cross-functionally with Procurement, Logistics, Operations, R&D and Legal to ensure alignment and timely execution.

3. Support sanctions compliance and export control processes, including screening of business partners and identification of potential “red flags” in transactions.

4. Collect, validate and manage compliance-related data (e.g. supplier declarations, product composition, customs data).

5. Drive communication with suppliers and customers regarding compliance requirements and documentation.

6. Execute project management activities (timelines, coordination, reporting) for compliance initiatives.

7. Maintain and improve compliance workflows, documentation and internal procedures.

8. Monitor implementation progress and proactively escalate risks or delays.

9. Contribute to building internal awareness and knowledge in compliance and governance.

BACKGROUND

We are looking for a candidate who:

1. Demonstrates a strong governance mindset, with focus on procedures, regulations and compliance frameworks (e.g. CO₂ certifications, regulatory documentation, standards).

2. Has experience in working within an international environment, ideally across EU/UK structures.

3. Brings exposure to industries such as plastics, polymers, recycling or related sectors (nice to have).

4. Has experience in project management, coordination and working with multiple stakeholders.

5. Shows strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ownership.

6. Communicates effectively and is comfortable operating in complex environments.

OFFER

1. Work in an international environment with real impact on market access and business continuity.

2. Opportunity to shape and build trade & compliance processes in a growing and evolving regulatory landscape.

3. High exposure to cross-functional collaboration across Legal, Operations, Procurement and Sustainability.

4. All necessary tools and benefits package.

5. Remote-based role with occasional travel to our headquarters.
